Obituary For Corinne Constance Hagedorn

Corinne Hagedorn, age 91, born March 13, 1934, of Saratoga Springs, New York, passed away peacefully at home in Highland Heights, Kentucky surrounded by loved ones on Jan. 1, 2026.

Corinne was preceded in death by her parents; John E Croke and Mary Sundler Croke her brother, Edward Croke, her husband William Hagedorn; her daughter, Joan Marie Hagedorn; her son, William Hagedorn Jr.; and her cherished bonus grandson, Joseph Hatfield.

She is survived by her loving children: Terry Hagedorn, Peggy Avery, Joseph (Debbie) Hagedorn, Jeannie Cornelius (Ron Beier), Laura (Dan) Hatfield, and Mary (Jeff) Dawn, along with 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren who brought her immense pride and joy.

Corinne loved her hometown deeply and always held Saratoga Springs close to her heart. She was an avid and passionate sports fan, cheering on the Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers, the Buffalo Bills, and proudly following Rick Pitino-coached teams, a loyalty that never wavered. She also delighted in watching her grandchildren’s sports including wrestling, swimming, basketball, soccer, and volleyball for Campbell County and Newport Central Catholic and even enjoyed participating in fantasy football.

She treasured her beloved dog, who brought her constant companionship and comfort. Corinne also cherished her time spent at Coney Island, laughing and making memories with her close-knit gang of friends’ moments filled with joy, friendship, and stories that will live on. Some of her favorite moments were the fiercely competitive and joy filled Scrabble games she shared with her granddaughter.

Corinne loved to celebrate life, especially her birthday, which was often marked by memorable pub crawls and time spent with family and friends. She was fortunate to travel to Ireland, Paris and London as well as many places in the United States.

A devoted Catholic, Corinne placed her trust in the Blessed Mother Mary, turning to her for comfort and strength throughout her life. Above all, Corinne was known for her warmth and generosity, your friends were her friends, and everyone was welcomed as family. She was affectionately known to many as Granny Haggs and was a Mom and Grandmother figure to everyone.

She will be deeply missed and forever lovingly remembered.
