Obituary For Cynthia Lea Osterbrock
Cynthia “Cindi” Lea Osterbrock (née Sears), 58, passed away on March 14, 2026, after a brave and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on February 15, 1968.
Cindi was preceded in death by her grandmother, Audrey J. White; her niece, Ashley B. Yelton; and her beloved dog, Bandit.
She is survived by her loving mother, Sandra Lea Turner (née White); her daughter, Grace Osterbrock and Grace’s longtime partner, Aric Wren; her son, Grant Osterbrock; and her former husband, John Osterbrock. She also leaves behind her siblings, Kerri Sears, Patti Sears, and Mike Sears; her nieces, Nicole Green, Lauren Davis, and Kayla Sears; and her nephew, Ian Sears. Cindi is further survived by her cherished best friend, Jill Lillich, as well as Jill’s daughters, Sydney Grzebyk and Delaney Lillich; her dog, Scooby; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Cindi had a remarkable gift for bringing people together and filling any room with laughter. She loved reading, playing card games, and hosting gatherings for family and friends, creating countless cherished memories around the table. Being a mother was the greatest joy of her life. A lifetime member of MGW, she enjoyed socializing with loved ones, listening to live music, and sharing her natural talent for design and decorating. Known affectionately as everyone’s favorite “Aunt Cindi,” she had a vibrant personality, a generous heart, and was rarely seen without her signature red nails.
Even in her final days, Cindi’s strength and selflessness continued to shine. In the spirit of helping others, she chose to donate her body to the University of Cincinnati Body Donation Program to advance medical education and research.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Burlington, KY on May 2, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the University of Cincinnati Body Donation Program.
