Daniel Lee Coleman, 88, of Covington, Ky passed away on May 5, 2026 at Ivy Knoll Senior Living Community. Dan was born on August 10, 1937 to Oscar and Grace (Harney) Coleman.

He graduated from Holmes High School in 1955 after which he served honorably in the US Army from 1957 to 1959.

Dan returned home and married his high school sweetheart Winona Kay (Howard) Coleman and they had 3 boys.

Dan held many jobs through the years including, police officer, security officer, collections agent, office worker and retired from the IRS.

Dan was an avid golfer and was very proud of his one and only hole in one. Dan's love of music and band was shared with his three sons. They were all part of Holmes Marching Band and Dan was a proud band parent for many years.

Dan's true passion was being an active member of the Masonic Lodges. He was a Grand Commander in the State of Ky from 2007-2008.

Dan is survived by his 3 sons, Chris Coleman, Todd (Lisa) Coleman, and Keith (Theresa) Coleman; his 6 grandchildren, John (Tiffany) Coleman, Rebecca (Paul) Kosko, Margaret (Cody) Young, Abigail (Bryan) Walter, Michael Coleman; great-granddaughter, River Rose Kosko; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends and Family are invited to attend visitation and services on Tuesday, May 12 from 11:00-1:00 at Allison and Rose Funeral Home in Taylor Mill, Ky. Graveside service will be at Floral Hills Memorial Garden at 2:00 in Taylor Mill, Ky. A Celebration of Life at the VFW Hall in Dayton, Ky will be from 3:00-5:00.
