Obituaries

Darleen Menefee Sanders, 78, of Union, KY, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

She was a member of First Church of Christ in Burlington, KY. Darleen was a 1965 graduate of Dixie Heights High School in Edgewood, KY, and obtained her Master's Degree of Education from Indiana University East. She was a Kentucky Colonel and enjoyed crafting and ceramics. Darleen enjoyed bowling and attending sporting events for her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Garnett and Martha Menefee and parents-in-law: Ralph and Roberta Sanders.

Darleen is survived by her loving husband of 56 years: Bob Sanders; 5 children: Kelli Weber, Todd Sanders, Erin (Keith) Rump, John Sanders, and Ashley (Ward) Anderson; brother-in-law: Dave (late: Mary) Sanders; sister-in-law: Pam (late: Danny) Bennett; 11 grandchildren: Jake Sanders, Brandon Hensley, Tori Sanders, Edward Weber, Emma Weber, Logan Cones, Ben Weber, Zach Irwin, Nate Anderson, Ainsley Anderson and Clayton Rump; 2 great-grandsons: Kol Byrne-Hensley and Kai Byrne-Hensley and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at First Church of Christ, 6080 Camp Ernst Road, Burlington, KY 41005.
