Obituary For David Holland

David Holland, age 64, of Latonia, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home after a battle with cancer. Lover of the open road, faithful heart, and cherished family man.

Born and raised on his family's farm surrounded by the beauty and energy of thoroughbreds, David developed a deep appreciation for hard work and the outdoors from an early age. His childhood, spent alongside his parents and siblings, laid the foundation for the values he carried throughout his life.

David had an adventurous spirit and a love for motorcycles. He was a proud member of the Eastgate Harley-Davidson H.O.G. chapter, where he found camaraderie and joy in every mile he rode. When not on two wheels, he could often be found watching baseball—especially his beloved Cincinnati Reds—or tuning into NASCAR races. Bowling nights and old classic shows like The Andy Griffith Show, Emergency!, and Hee Haw always brought a smile to his face.

A dedicated truck driver, David spent years facilitating local deliveries, bringing reliability and a friendly smile to everyone he worked with. He also had a green thumb and found peace and pride in landscaping and spending time outdoors.

Despite battling cancer in recent years, David faced it with bravery and resilience. He recovered once, only for it to return, but never lost his faith or his warmth.

David leaves behind a loving family, including his sisters; Debbie (Randy) Cunigan and Lisa Jones, and his cherished nieces and nephews; Adam (Brienna) Cunigan, Jessica (Mike) Yankel, Kyle and Brody Jones, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

David's family would like to send a heartfelt thank you for all the attention and support that has been provided to David in the last years, especially to his good friend, Brian Karl, and to Jackie Holland.

His memory will live on in every country road, every game day cheer, and in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed.

A celebration of David’s life will be planned by the family at a later date.
