David Isaac Nicholas, 78, of Walton, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2026, with his loving wife by his side.

Born on January 30, 1948 in Newport, Kentucky, he was the son of the late James and Alma Nicholas. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.

David enjoyed fishing and watching professional wrestling. He treasured time spent with his family and friends and will be remembered for his steady presence and devotion to those he loved.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brothers, Roger Nicholas, Kent Nicholas, and Curtis Nicholas, and his sisters, Tonya Lutz and Christine Nicholas.

David leaves behind his beloved wife of 25 years, Rhonda Nicholas; sons, James (Pam Neace) Seward, David (Heather) Nicholas, Chris (Candice) Nicholas, and Troy (Jamie) Nicholas; stepson, Travis Fraley; daughters, Diane (Shawn) Arszman and Jessie (Shawn McFarland) Nicholas; stepdaughters, Bobbie Rennier, Krystal (Jacob) Hornsby, and Brittany (Craig) Burke; brothers, James Nicholas and Robert Nicholas; sisters, Darlene Little and Marie Hanks; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry his memory forward.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
