David R. Placke of Covington, age 57, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, in Cincinnati, OH. He was born in Covington, KY on February 15, 1969.

David had an outgoing and loving spirit. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially his grandbaby, Delilah. He loved traveling to take his family on trips and going fishing. David was almost always listening to music and dancing to a beat. His favorite teams were the Cincinnati Bengals and the Reds. David will be remembered for the hardworking, family man he was, and he will be missed beyond measure.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Melinda Tanner, his stepfather Steve Tanner and his brother, Terry Placke.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Mariah Placke (Hunter Freeman); beloved granddaughter, Delilah; father, Richard Placke; siblings, Renee Tanner, Crystal Tanner, Julie Albertson (Chalky Albertson), Barbie Burrus, and Karrie Earls; his nieces and nephews, Hayley, Brandee, Danielle, Codie, Micheal, Jimmy, Jon, and Amanda; his sweet dog, Miracle; as well as several other friends and relatives who cherished his memory.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home 8461 Dixie Highway Florence, KY 41042. A celebration of life will be held at the Florence Lions Club, 29 Lacresta Drive Florence, KY following the visitation.
