David Robert Shaw of Florence, KY passed away peacefully on Friday, February 9, 2024 at St Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY at the age of 78.

David started his career at Sears where he met and fell in love with his wife Rose. After Sears he worked at Ryder Truck Rental as a mechanic, he also worked at Airport Ford as a car salesman until he retired in 2005.

He thoroughly enjoyed woodworking and tinkering with anything he thought needed improving. His other pastimes in life were watching Nascar, football, and going on neighborhood walks with Rose. He took great pride is his home and spent many hours outdoors maintaining the lawn.

David was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorothy Shaw. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Rose Shaw; his son, Vincent (Cherie) Shaw; and his sister, Mary Jo Oldendick. David also leaves behind his granddaughter, Ashton Shaw.

The family will be having a private family memorial service.
