Obituary For David Wayne Newberry
David Wayne Newberry, 71, of California, KY, passed away March 27, 2026. Born to the late Virgil and Shirley Newberry. David was a lifelong hard worker and a dedicated welder at GE. He enjoyed spending his free time mowing, feeding the deer, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Shirley Newberry. David is survived by his daughter, Jamie Kirk; his son, Joshua (Danielle) Newberry; brothers Denny (Paula) Newberry and Darrell Newberry; sister Carole (Ray) Houp; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Cooper Funeral Home on Friday, April 3, 2026 from 4-7pm. Service will begin at 7pm. Burial will be private to the family. Cooper Funeral Home is serving the family.
