Obituary For Della Ann Schlupp
Della Ann Pennington Schlupp peacefully entered the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 25, 2026, surrounded by her children and family. Born on January 5, 1954, to Ance and Oralia Pennington.
Della shared many meaningful years of life with Ronald Schlupp, and together they built a family grounded in faith. She was the proud mother of 4 children, Angela (Kelly) Condon, Rachelle (Carey) Daugherty, Destiny (Chris) Conley, and Marc (Michelle) Schlupp. Her love and prayers multiplied through the generations, as she cherished 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, each one she adored and faithfully lifted before the Lord. She also found comfort and companionship in her beloved dogs, Danny Jo and Tito.
Above all else, Della loved the Lord with all of her heart. Her love for Jesus was the very breath of her life, expressed through humility, fervent prayer, and compassion and forgiveness for others. She was a faithful and fierce prayer warrior for her family and many others.
Her favorite scripture was Joshua 24:15: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” These words were more than a verse she loved—they were the foundation she built her life upon. Her deepest desire was that every member of her family would come to know Jesus personally, and she carried that hope faithfully in every prayer.
Della found deep joy and belonging within her church family at Heritage Fellowship in Florence, where she worshiped, prayed and served.
She also loved going on hikes in the woods. She enjoyed being in nature and appreciated the beauty and peace of God’s creation.
Della will be remembered as a woman of extraordinary faith, deep humility, and compassion for others. Her legacy lives on in every life she prayed over, every heart she encouraged, and every seed of faith she planted.
While our hearts are hurting, we also rejoice in the promise she lived for—the hope of hearing her Savior say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” We know she is in Heaven dancing, singing and worshipping! One day we will all be up there dancing and singing with her and what a glorious day it will be!!!
A service honoring Della’s beautiful life will be held on Thursday, August 13th at 7Hills Church, 6800 Hazel Ct, Florence, KY 41042.
Doors will open at 5:30 PM, with the service beginning at 6:00 PM and concluding around 8:30 PM.
Following the service, family and friends are warmly invited to a BYO/shareable dessert fellowship, as we gather together in love, remembrance, and gratitude for the life and legacy she leaves behind.
