Obituary For Delores Frances Nunnelley
Delores Frances Nunnelley, 97, of Independence, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loved ones, on Tuesday evening, April 7, 2026. A devoted homemaker, she dedicated her life to caring for and loving her family. She was affectionately known to many as “Granny.”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Glenn Nunnelley; her sons, Glenn and Walter; her grandson, Denny Walker; her great-grandson, Nicholas Walker; and her siblings, Mable, Patsy, Roy, and Floyd.
Delores is survived by her sons, Frank (Bernice) Nunnelley and Terry (Stephanie) Nunnelley; and her daughters, Wanda (the late Leon Short) Walker, Charlotte (Mike) Price, Sandra Kay (the late Ronnie) Ridgway, and Gail (George) Ohr. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory. Delores’ warmth and strength will continue to shine through the lives of those she leaves behind.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Swindler & Currin Funeral Home in Latonia. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, 2167 Dixie Highway, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017.
A celebration of life will be held at Pride Park Community Center, 5614 Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
