Obituary For Dennis Knarr
Dennis Knarr, 77, of Independence, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side.
He attended Lakeside Christian Church and was a devoted fan of the Kentucky Wildcats, the Cincinnati Reds, and the Bengals. Dennis enjoyed golfing, spending time by the pool, and most of all being surrounded by family and friends. He loved entertaining and even built a large deck, around the pool, at his home so he could gather with those he cared about. One of his favorite outings was enjoying country fried steak at Family's Restaurant.
Dennis worked as a truck driver for more than 40 years, most recently with Transwood. Over the course of his remarkable career, he logged more than 8 million miles without a single accident, a testament to his skill, professionalism, and commitment to safety.
Dennis was the son of the late James Knarr and Marie Hiles Knarr. Dennis is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn Knarr; his sons, Keith Knarr (Bobbi) and Nick Knarr (Kaycie); his brother, Philip Knarr (Phyllis); and his cherished granddaughter, Violet Knarr.
Visitation will be held at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Independence Cemetery.
