Obituary For Diana Rose Henderson
Diana Rose Henderson, 82, of Alexandria, KY, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY.
Diana retired at the age of 55 after a fulfilling 30-year career as an Executive Secretary at Procter & Gamble. Outside of her career, Diana was passionate about advocacy and justice, working alongside her mother as the local president of the Kentucky Voice for Crime Victims to bring about meaningful legislative change.
In her younger years, Diana had a zest for life that shone brightest on the dance floor. She loved 60s music and rock ‘n’ roll, often dancing in competitions with her sister and brother—many of which they won.
Above all, Diana adored her family. She shared a particularly close bond with her granddaughter Beth, who affectionately called her “Gooey.” Her love for her children and grandchildren was unwavering, along with her love of animals, especially her cat, Peaches, who brought her immense joy.
She was preceded in death by her son, Brian David Bens; parents, Harold Henderson and Vivian Abrams; and brother, Dennis Thomas Henderson.
Diana is survived by her loving husband, Hank Nienaber; daughter, Lisa (John) Kramer; granddaughter, Beth (Ryan) Cummins; grandson, Brad (Kristina) Bolte; stepchildren: Cheryl (Rob) Wittmeyer, Lisa (Mike) Teague and Beth Brian Mardis; brother, John Phillip (Helen Kane) Henderson; sister, Janet Ann Reams; 10 step grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 9:00 am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 am, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 3612 Church St., Covington, KY 41015. Burial will immediately follow in Mother of God Cemetery in Latonia, KY.
