Donald Richard Wood, 87, of Bethel, OH and formerly of Newport, KY, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024 at his residence. He was a retired Building Supervisor with Cincinnati Gas & Electric. He spent his life taking care of his family. Donald also loved cars and the casino. His daughter Faith went on to care for him after the passing of his loving wife Carrol in 2005. After Faith's passing, Donald's daughter Donna cared for him, along with her husband, Junior and son, Tyler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd & Ellen Wood; his aforementioned wife; sons, Dale Harvey & George "Bud" Wood and his aforementioned daughter. Donald is survived by his son, Darrell Robert Wood; daughter, Donna (Junior) Cullum; 13 grandchildren, Randall, Darren, Steven, Dylan, Donelle, Tyler, Cameron, Catherine, Matthew, Richard, McKenzie, Lauren & Cara and 12 great grandchildren, Bentley, Baleigh, Bella, Brooklen, Jordan, Jacob, Kamira, Joseph, Jonathan, Keauna, Camiyah and Calliyah. Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Entombment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate, KY. Online condolences can be given at dmefuneral.com.
