Obituary For Dorothy M. Wolfinbarger

Dorothy Wolfinbarger, age 91, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026. She was born on November 22, 1934, in Lexington, Kentucky, to the late Ebb Russ and Rosie Lamb Russ. Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who meant so much to the people around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Vickie Beers, her husband, Virgil Wolfinbarger, and her sister, Mary Susan.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Pat Held (Mike), David Wolfinbarger (Erica), Jeff Wolfinbarger (Carmen), and Tom Wolfinbarger. She is also survived by her sister Charlotte Rodriguez.

She leaves behind many grandchildren who loved her dearly, including Becky Bingham, Tony Wolfinbarger (Amanda), Tommy Wolfinbarger, Craig Held, Chris Held, Kandy Claycomb (Phil), Sandy Sidwell (Dave), Michael Beers (Kurstin), Megan Von der Porten (David), Jeffrey Wolfinbarger (Cassie), Travis Wolfinbarger (Kendra), Zack Wolfinbarger, and Sarah Wolfinbarger. Dorothy was also blessed with 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Dorothy was a dedicated member of Taylor Mill Pentecostal Church, where she spent a lot of her time. She loved to sing and enjoy moments surrounded by family. She will be remembered for the love she had and the kindness she showed to everyone. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with funeral services beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
