Dorothy "Dottie" Paulette Douglas, 63, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Good Samaritan Hospital following a sudden heart attack.

Born on May 24, 1963, Dottie was the seventh of nine children. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, quiet resilience, and the love she held in her heart for her family.

Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Edward Marimon and Ellen (Hoskins) Marimon Blake, as well as her cherished stepfather, Carl Thomas Blake, who lovingly helped raise her. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, James Marimon, Charlene "Oppie" Parlier, John Marimon, Charles "Pete" Marimon, and Joycie Hollingsworth.

Among the greatest sorrows Dottie endured was the loss of her three beloved children, Idelle Hope Cales, David Hale, and Saprina Loomis, all of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, David Hale, and her husband, Dean Douglas.

Left to cherish Dottie's memory are her sisters, Shirley Hallbauer and her husband, Chuck, and Tina Herbst and her husband, Jamey; her brother, Lonnie Marimon and his wife, Tina; her sister-in-law, Joyce Marimon, widow of her late brother, James Marimon; her beloved aunts, Pauline Blake and Pat Bowling; her grandchildren, Zachary Williams, Gavin Cales and his wife, Destiny, Dolton Loomis, Skylar Loomis, Kaylee Loomis, Austin Loomis, and Camden Loomis; two great-grandchildren, including the newest blessing to the family, Kacyn Ponder, who was born just three weeks before Dottie's passing; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever remember their beloved Aunt Dottie.

Throughout her life, Dottie experienced both moments of joy and seasons of profound struggle. Those who loved her knew both the weight of the burdens she carried and the depth of the faith that sustained her. Though life's burdens often weighed heavily upon her, she found comfort in her relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her family takes comfort in knowing that her hope rested not in her own ability to overcome life's struggles, but in the saving grace of Jesus Christ, whose sacrifice on the cross offers forgiveness, redemption, and eternal life to all who believe in Him. While her journey on earth was marked by many challenges, they rejoice that she is now whole, at peace, and forever in His presence.

Dottie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family finds comfort in the many memories they shared, the love that remains, and the promise found in Christ that one day there will be no more sorrow, pain, or death, but everlasting joy in His presence.
