Obituary For Douglas Edward Bennett
Douglas “Benji” Edward Bennett, 63, of Newport, KY passed away on October 12, 2026. He was the son of Cecil and Grace (Powell) Bennett.
He worked many years as a Mechanic and Home Builder. He loved spending his time shooting pool, working, boating, fishing and off roading. He loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, David Bennett, Brenda Dicus and Donna Poynter.
He leaves behind his daughters, Nikki Bennett and Jessica Bennett; sons, Doug (Karla) Bennett and Justin Bennett; sisters, Bernice Casebolt, Patty Bennett and Melonie Bennett; along with grandchildren, Gage, Hope, Faith and Jordan and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Saturday October 17, 2026, at Cooper Funeral Home in Alexandria from 2:00 pm- 4:00pm. The service will begin at 4:00pm.
Cooper Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
