Obituary For Edwin A. Woolever
Edwin A. Woolever passed away peacefully with his wife and daughters by his side on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the age of 76.
He was born on July 31, 1949, to Floyd and Maxine Woolever. Ed married Maureen Nolan on September 14, 1974. Together, they built a loving family and shared over 50 devoted years of marriage.
Ed spent the majority of his career at Ranco in Plain City, Ohio. He was an avid golfer, bowler, coach, and drag racing enthusiast. He was also a dedicated fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
More than anything, Ed loved spending time with his family, whether on vacations or cheering on his daughters and grandchildren at their sporting events. He never met a stranger and took great pride in talking about his daughters and grandchildren.
Ed is survived by his beloved wife, Maureen Woolever; daughters, Melissa (Rex) Cushman, Miranda (Troy) Powell, and Meredith Woolever; grandchildren, Kyle, Mack, Megan (Danny), Kerrigan, Lillian, Ali, Jackson, Jocelyn, Jonathan, and Joey; great-grandchildren, Ava, Huck, Keegan, and Jasmine; brother, Floyd (Donna) Woolever Jr.; in-laws, Mike (deceased) and Gladys Nolan, Molly and Dan Santry, and Mary and Mike Buechner; his best friend, Lanny Bailey; special friends, John Mathews and Ruth Woolever; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Maxine Woolever; sisters, Nancy (Bob) Dever and Marilyn; and niece, Crystal.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. a Middendorf Funeral Home, 3312 Madison Pike, Ft Wright, KY 41017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, 1140 Madison Pike, Covington, KY 41011, with a visitation starting at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption 1140 Madison Avenue Covington, KY 41011.
