Obituary For Edwin Alton Bean
Edwin Alton Bean, 68, of Eaton, Ohio, a devoted family man, cherished sports enthusiast, and proud Marine, passed away on March 18, 2026. Born on April 10, 1957, in Louisville, Kentucky, Edwin lived a life marked by dedication to his loved ones and country.
A man of great spirit, Edwin served honorably in the United States Marines, embodying courage and commitment throughout his military career. Beyond his service, he was well known among family and friends as an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Kentucky Wildcats, passions that brought him joy and a sense of camaraderie with fellow sports lovers.
Edwin's legacy is lovingly preserved by his surviving sons and daughters. Jacob Bean and his wife (Sydney Engelhard), Josh Bean and his wife (Samantha) and Ryan Bean, Josie Palladino and her husband (Joseph Palladino). Proceeded by his grandchildren, Landon George, and Kiara Bean as well as his 6 others, who carry forward his strength and character. He also holds a cherished place in the hearts of his siblings: Howard Bean, Samuel Bean, Freddy Bean, Tony Lee, Jason Lee, Theresa Fischer, Maria Armour, and Valena Bock. These family members stand as a testament to Edwin’s enduring impact and love.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alton Bean, his mother, Margaret Bean, and two of his children, Anthony Bean and Brittney Bean, whose memories he held dear throughout his life.
A visitation to honor Edwin’s life will be held on March 27, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to the hour of service at 12:00 p.m. at the Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home located at 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, Kentucky. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery, 2167 Dixie Highway, Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
The family invites all who knew Edwin to attend these services to celebrate a life filled with love, loyalty, and the pursuit of happiness. His memory will live on comfortably in the stories shared and the legacy he has left within his family and community. Edwin Alton Bean will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
