Obituary For Eileen Rust

Eileen (née Neltner) Rust, age 93, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026. She was born on July 20, 1932, in Camp Springs, Kentucky to her parents Lawrence and Rose (née Ritter) Neltner.

In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Arthur; her youngest son, Steven; and her brother, Clarence Neltner.

A devoted wife, mother, and caregiver, Eileen was the heart of her family. She kept her household running with grace, steadiness, and a quiet strength that shaped the lives of everyone around her. Her farming roots instilled in her a tireless work ethic and a love for gardening and canning—skills she carried throughout her life and generously shared with others.

Eileen was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the St. Mary’s Ladies Society, where she formed lasting friendships and lived out her faith through service and community.

She is survived by her children: Donna Carr (Michael), Joan Hagedorn (Kenneth Mabley), and Ronald Rust (Patricia); sister-in-law, Claire Neltner; four grandchildren; six great‑grandchildren; and sisters, Joanne Gibson and Janet Lewis. Her family will forever cherish her kindness, her unwavering support, and the deep love she gave so freely.

Eileen will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 4011 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, Kentucky. In place of flowers, Eileen requested that Mass intentions be offered in her memory to St. Joseph Church or St. Vincent de Paul, C/O St. Joseph Church. Arrangements entrusted to Alexandria Funeral Home. Online condolences can be expressed at www.alexandriafh.com.

So many times I was at your house to pick you up for social time or softball and enjoyed those times talking with your mom. Carrie and Chuck Reinert...
