Obituary For Elizabeth "Betty" Poole

Elizabeth “Betty” Poole, 92 of Burlington, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on September 19, 2024. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She devoted her life to her family and her church. She served as the organist at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for over 55 years.

Betty is survived by her children: Rosemary Diamond, Millie (Larry) Brookover, Michele (Phil) Garrison, Mike (Sandy) Poole, Martin (Mindy) Poole, Gerri Ann (Abdullah) Poole-Alarabi, Jean (Mark) Krzywonos, Joan (Joe) Baumgartner, Mary Jo (Lenny) Peak, Tony (Jennifer) Poole, Margie (Tom) Biedenbender, Tim (Amy) Poole, Jennifer (Kevin) Phipps, and Chris (Rachael) Poole, daughter-in-law: Kathy Poole, 51 grandchildren, 93 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her husband: Michael Poole, son: Mark Poole, grandsons: Michael W Poole and Matthew Poole, parents: Alois and Elizabeth Boitman and brother: Alois Boitman.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 4pm to 8pm at Linnemann Funeral Homes, Burlington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 11am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Betty will be laid to rest at Burlington Cemetery.
