Obituary For Elizabeth Mae Kiser
Elizabeth "Betty" / "Honey" Mae Kiser, 72, of Walton, KY, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 4, 2026.
She was a life-time member of Immanuel Church in Lakeside Park, KY. Betty retired as an elementary teacher with Dayton, KY, and Boone County Public Schools. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, teacher, outdoorswoman, gardener, and friend, who left behind a legacy of love, kindness, and faith in Jesus Christ. By example, Betty taught everyone around her to seek out beauty from the natural world, practice gratitude, and cultivate curiosity.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Chester Kiser, of 50 years with whom she shared a life filled with love, family, and adventure in the great outdoors.
Betty was a devoted mother and is survived by her children Lindsey Lee (Jeff) Ward and Chester (Billie Jo) Kiser, Jr. She was a cherished grandmother to and is also survived by her grandchildren Trey, Isabel, Lily, Iris, Breanna, Landon, and Dylan, who brought great joy and happiness to her life.
Betty was a beautiful person inside and out who loved the Lord and lived her life with faith and devotion. She found joy in nurturing her family, teaching, searching for wildlife, identifying wildflowers, and volunteering with her church. She genuinely shared in her friends' good news and devotedly walked alongside them through hardships. Betty's gentle spirit, warm heart, and unwavering love will be deeply missed. Her memory will live on through the many lives she touched, including the children she taught to read, her many friends, and the family she loved so dearly.
Betty thoughtfully donated her body to the University of Cincinnati, Department of Anatomy for medical education and research in the hope that her passing may benefit others. A Celebration of Life for Betty will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM, followed by the Memorial Service at 1:00 PM at Immanuel Church, 2551 Dixie Highway, Lakeside Park, KY 41017.
