Obituary For Emilie Lucy Linton
Emilie Linton, 89, of Independence, KY passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025.
Emilie was a longtime member of St. Barbara Church, as well as a former member of Mother of God Church in Covington, Ky. After retiring from Proctor and Gamble, she and her husband, better known as ‘Sam” enjoyed traveling. They volunteered for 12 years at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Ky. and at Owen County Friends of Animals, spay neuter clinic. She had a gentle touch as a ‘recovery nurse’, a role she cherished.
Emilie is reunited in death with her loving husband of 60 years; Robert Linton Sr.,her parents; Alois and Balbina Obermeier and four sisters, Mary Cain, Louise Hauf, Betty Baker and Rosie Fahay. Left to mourn her loss are her children; Debbie Hollon, Linda Hollon, Constance Norman (Damian Pelster), and Robert Linton Jr., grandchildren; Michael Hollon, Vanessa Hollon, Matthew Robinson and Audrey Lee Pelster Colson (Hunter).
Her family will honor her with a private memorial mass and she will be laid to rest with her husband at the Northern Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery North. Cards of sympathy may be sent to 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051 in care of the Linton family.
