Eugene Doolin, age 92, of Union, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026. Born in Burlington, Kentucky, on November 27, 1933, Eugene was the beloved son of the late J.W. Doolin and Everine Knight Doolin.

A lifelong farmer, Eugene found great joy and comfort in working the land and spending time with those he loved most. Farming was more than his life's work; it was an important part of who he was. Above all, Eugene treasured his family, and the love they shared remained at the heart of his life.

Eugene was preceded in death by his cherished grandchildren, Lynette Hickman, Michelle Hilsercop, and Jenna Kilpatrick.

He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife of 75 years, Betty Doolin; his daughter, Wanetta Trapp; his son, Brian Doolin; and his grandchildren, Troy Giles, Brandon Doolin, Scott Doolin, and Kristian Atha. Eugene's memory will be lovingly carried forward by the family he cherished so deeply.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 U.S. Highway 42, Florence, Kentucky 41042. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger, Kentucky.
