Obituary For Eugenia "Jean" Huff

Eugenia "Jean" Huff, 96, formally of Crescent Springs, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, at Rosedale Green. Her nearly 97 years were characterized by unwavering love for her family, abiding faith, a zest for simple joys, and cherished friendships that spanned the decades.

Jean dedicated many years of service as a Sales Associate with K-Mart in Erlanger, Kentucky, where her kindness touched colleagues and customers alike. Her work ethic and devotion to doing things right were hallmarks of her professional life. She lived her values not just through her words, but in how she treated everyone she met with dignity, patience, and grace.

Outside of work, Jean lived fully and with infectious enthusiasm. She loved playing Bingo, an activity that not only brought her joy but also connected her to a circle of friends. Even in her final months, she continued to find happiness in the game. Some of her fondest moments were spent camping with her husband at Big Turtle Campground, where laughter around the campsite fire and the quiet of nature brought peace and delight.

Grounded in faith, Jean found purpose and belonging as a devoted member of St. Joseph Church in Crescent Springs, KY. She cherished her involvement with the Ludlow Seniors, Hill Toppers, Ft. Mitchell Seniors, Blessed Sacrament Seniors, and the Red Hat Society, where she formed deep friendships and found opportunities to serve and celebrate the joys of life alongside others.

Survivors include her daughter, Theresa “Terri” (Thomas) Payne of Hebron; sons, John (Connie) Huff of Ludlow, Robert “Bob” (Lina) Huff of Park Hills, David Huff of Ft. Mitchell, Timothy (Leslie) Huff of Newport, Dennis Huff of Villa Hills, Kenneth (Sherry) Huff of Cincinnati; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Huff; one grandchild, Krystal Huff; parents, George and Eugenia Tuchfarber and brothers, Joseph Tuchfarber, Robert Tuchfarber, and Milton Tuchfarber.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 9;00AM until the hour of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM all in St. Joseph Church, 2470 Lorraine Ct, Crescent Springs, KY 41017.

Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Fort Mitchell, Kentucky.

Donations may be made to St Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017.

Jean’s loving presence will be missed beyond measure, but her influence endures in the countless memories shared and lessons passed down through generations.
