Floyd Calvert Ellis, 84, of Florence, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Born in Frankfort, Kentucky, to his late parents, Wallace and Polly Ellis, Floyd's life was a testament to love and resilience.

Floyd is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Joyce Ellis; his son, Len Ellis; his stepson, Jeffrey R. Ziegler; and his stepdaughter, Nichol Ziegler (Jim). He took great joy in his grandchildren, Jenna Ellis and Hayden Ellis, and his step-grandchildren, Noah and Sam, who were all bright lights in his life. Floyd is also survived by his half-sister, Dawn Nash.

Floyd proudly served in the United States Army, demonstrating his dedication to his country and community. He was the founder and owner of Interstate Asphalt, a venture that reflects his industrious spirit. Floyd enjoyed spending time outdoors, particularly fishing and playing golf, activities that brought him peace and happiness. Together with Joyce, he embarked on numerous adventures around the globe, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime. He will be deeply missed for the love and warmth he shared with family and friends.

To honor Floyd’s remarkable life, friends and family are invited to a visitation on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 US Hwy 42, Florence, KY. The visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m.
