Obituary For Frank Simpson

Frank Simpson, age 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by those he loved on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Highlandspring of Fort Thomas. The son of the late Webb Anderson Simpson and Bertha Lucille Simpson, Frank was born in Grant County, KY on November 7, 1935.

He retired from American Isowall in Florence and was known for his strong work ethic. Frank worked tirelessly throughout his life, taking great pride in providing for his family and ensuring they were always cared for.

Frank shared a beautiful love story with his beloved wife, Shirley {McCubbin} Simpson. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and devotion, enjoying 66 wonderful years of marriage before Shirley's passing on January 8, 2026.

Frank was a faithful member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church, where he worshipped alongside his church family since the early 1970s. A lifelong Kentucky Wildcats fan, Frank especially loved cheering on U.K. Basketball. He also enjoyed fishing and treasured the many vacations he spent with his family in Gatlinburg, Florida, Lake Cumberland, California, and Germany while visiting his son during his military service. More than anything, Frank cherished time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

His memory lives on through his children, Tammy (Steve) Hadsell, Kevin (Glenda) Simpson, Steve (Susan) Simpson, and Keith Simpson; grandchildren, Tim (Mary Ann) Smith, Amy (Angel) Simpson, Lowell (David) Greeson, Alex (Sydney) Simpson, Jared (Hannah) Simpson, Micah Simpson, and Kayla Simpson (Charles “CJ”); great-grandchildren, Tim Smith, Sadie Simpson, Daniel Simpson, Susannah Simpson, John Simpson, Lily Simpson, Gavin Bauer, Charlie Bauer, and Lucian Bauer; and brother, Allen Simpson.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Simpson; and his siblings, Johnny, Leslie, Eddie, Floyd, David, Gary, Ronnie, and Merle Simpson; and his sisters, Lettie Loechel, Marjorie Hall, Connie Simpson, Rema Ashcraft, and Rosalie Fisk.

Services for Frank will be held on Thursday, June 25th with visitation from 10 AM to 12 PM and his funeral to begin at 12 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home – Independence. He will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens immediately following his service.
