Obituaries

Frederick "Fredo" Harmeyer, 73, of Newport, KY, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023.

Fred served four years in the United States Coast Guard. He enjoyed many years as a home inspector and also worked for the USPS and as a census taker. He was an avid photographer, painter & world traveler. Most importantly he was a well rounded gentleman and a friend to many.

Fred was born April 16, 1950 in Covington, KY to the late John and Martha (nee: Fey) Harmeyer. He was preceded in death by his brother, Andrew "Andy" Harmeyer.

Fred is survived by his Daughter, Kristin (Zach George) Harmeyer, Granddaughters, Lucy and Birdie, Siblings, Mary E. "Betsy" Ballinger, Robert "Bob" (Nancy) Harmeyer, Anne Thiem, Susan (Tom) Meyer, also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial Visitation 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm, Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Celebration of Life Ceremony will follow at 6:30 pm, at the funeral home.
