Gail McAdams
Passed 10/21/2026
Obituary For Gail McAdams
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gail Ann McAdams, nee Van De Pitte, a truly one of a kind woman.
Gail was born on August 3rd in Union City, Ohio to Paul and “Flo” Van De Pitte. She passed on to be with the Lord on October 21st, 2026 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is survived by her husband, Troy, children Jacob (Elizabeth) and Parker (Taytum), grandchildren Odin and Ezra, as well as her sisters, Paulette and Jackie; and brother, Rick.
She was predeceased by her sister, Chris; brother, Mark; and parents Paul and “Flo.”
Gail earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education and dedicated her entire career to elementary school education in Northern Kentucky. Her love for teaching created a lasting impact on all of those who had the opportunity to be in her classroom.
Gail was a very active member of the Democratic Party, always taking the opportunity to volunteer with local, state, and federal elections. She was excitedly awaiting her absentee ballot to cast her vote to turn the tides this November.
Outside of political involvement, Gail loved baking. She was always the one who would go above and beyond to prepare a dessert for the event. In the last year of her life, she spent her time anticipating the arrival of her grandchildren, then soaking in every minute possible with them.
There will be visitation at Linnemann Funeral Home in Burlington, Kentucky on Wednesday, October 28th from 4-6 PM. An additional visitation, along with eulogies, will be held at St. Timothy’s Parish in Union, Kentucky beginning at 9 AM, with Mass starting at 10 AM. Burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky will follow.
In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to honor Gail’s memory by making a donation to United We Dream (Donate Online Here). We would be remiss to not take this opportunity to encourage everyone to get out and vote this November, in her memory.
