Gared Eli Williamson
11/21/1991 - 4/26/2026
Obituary For Gared Eli Williamson
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gared Eli Williamson, 34, of Alexandria, KY, on April 26, 2026.
He was the son of James Michael Williamson and Nancy Jane Williamson. Gared worked for Gould and Smith as an oiler on cranes, as well as an assembler.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Jane Williamson (nee Gilchrist).
Gared is survived by his father, James Michael Williamson, and his brother, Samuel (Kennedy) Williamson, as well as a host of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Gared was a beloved soul, whose presence brought light, laughter, and warmth to everyone fortunate enough to know him. From an early age, he found freedom and joy in the simple, powerful bond between himself and the horses he rode. Those moments - wind against his face, steady rhythm beneath him - reflected the spirit he carried throughout his life; fearless, grounded, and deeply alive.
He loved fiercely and without hesitation. His friends were not just companions but chosen family, and he showed up for them with loyalty, humor, and a heart that never held back. To know him was to feel seen, supported, and often laughing until it hurt. At the center of his world was his family, whom he loved beyond measure. His devotion to them was constant and unwavering, a quiet but powerful force that shaped everything he did.
He had a rare gift - the ability to turn any gathering into a celebration. He was the life of the party not because he tried to be, but because his joy was contagious, his spirit magnetic, and his presence unforgettable.
Though his passing is a tragic loss, the imprint he leaves behind is indelible. In every shared story, every burst of laughter, and every memory carried forward, his spirit endures. He will be deeply missed, endlessly remembered, and forever loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 6th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Newport Elks 273, 3704 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY. Cooper Funeral Home is serving the family.
