Obituary For Gary Wagner Brown

Gary Wagner Brown, age 94, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026 with his wife and family surrounding him. Gary was born in Zanesville, Ohio on November 16, 1931 and lived a lot of his early years in Cambridge, Ohio.

Gary was devout in his faith and prayed daily with his wife. Gary graduated from the University of Cincinnati and was an avid UC Bearcat fan. Gary also loved his Cincinnati Bengals and loved to fish but what Gary loved above everything was his family. Gary was a Veteran of the United States Army and served during Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Esther and Franklin Brown, brother, Gene Brown and grandson, Eric Brown, Jr.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Wilma Brown (nee Breaden); children, Eric Brown (Lorraine), Jacqueline Schuler (Larry), Katherine Starks (Greg), Gary Brown, Jr. (Lisa), Geoffrey Brown (Bridgit), and Patrick Brown (Chelsey); sister, Karen Kumpf (Karl); 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and many, many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Middendorf Funeral Home on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 11:00 AM until the Funeral Service begins at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place immediately following at Mother of God Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorial donations can be sent to Autism Speaks or Tunnel to Towers or your favorite charity.
