Obituary For Gene Autry Hillard, Sr.
Gene Autry Hillard Sr., 87, of Silver Grove, KY, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Florence, KY. He was born September 19, 1938, in Glendale, OH.
He served in the U.S. Army for three years 1955-1958. He retired from Local Operators Union # 20.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Virginia (nee McMullen) Hillard and ten siblings.
Gene is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jaunita Hillard (nee Miller); eight children: Kimberly (late Mike) Brown, Sonya Fisher, Angela Hillard, Konea (late Rick) Moore, Tony Hillard, Gene (Dawn Lee) Hillard Jr., Chris Hillard, and Jason Hillard; also survived numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Campbell County VFW Post #3205, 8261 Alexandria Pike, Alexandria, KY 41001 on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 1:00 PM-5:00 PM. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Alexandria Funeral Home.
