Obituary For Georgia Headley
Georgia Headley nee Korgis passed away on June 16, 2026, at her home in Union, Kentucky of natural causes at the age of 92.
She was born on March 6, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Hercules and Helen Korgis (Kourtzis), nee Paron (Paraskevas).
She married jockey Owen “Pete” Headley in 1954.
Growing up in Detroit, she worked at her father’s grocery near the Ford plant and had a horse on her father’s farm. When she left home, she rode bulls in the Texas rodeo and later worked at the racetrack in New Orleans, where she met Owen.
She was a renowned breeder of Siamese show cats, which she would be involved in for the rest of her life.
She was preceded in death by Owen, her husband, and her grandson Adam Argenbright.
She is survived by her children Rock Headley (Cynthia), Roxanne Argenbright (Michael), and Gabrielle McFarland. Seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A service will be held at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox church in Finneytown, Ohio, on June 22, 2026, at 11 am.
