Gwendell Lou Rust Taylor, age 90, of Fiskburg, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family, wonderful neighbors, and devoted caregivers. Gwen was a member of Piner Baptist Church in Piner, Kentucky.

Born on February 2, 1936 in Gardernersville, Kentucky, Gwen, also known as Gwennie to many, lived a long, full life defined by unwavering devotion to family. She enjoyed crafting, cleaning, yardwork, and sewing.

While Gwen accomplished much throughout her 90 years, her greatest joy and proudest achievement was her family. Gwen was deeply devoted to her beloved son, Reggie, with whom she shared an inseparable bond and a lifetime of cherished memories. That circle of love grew even brighter with the arrival of her adored granddaughter, Olivia. As a grandparent, Gwen poured endless love into Olivia's life, never missing a milestone and always offering a supportive hand. Gwen's legacy of love, gentle strength, and quiet wisdom will live on forever in the hearts of her family who will miss her profoundly, but carry her spirit forward every day.

Gwen was preceded in death by beloved husband of 42 years, Reginald (Wayne) Taylor and her parents Henry Alfred and Dorothy Rust.

Gwen is survived by her son, Reggie (Carol Jo) Taylor, granddaughter, Olivia Taylor, of Fiskburg, Kentucky and many cousins, great nieces, great nephews, cherished neighbors, and treasured friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026 from 11am to 1pm at Chambers and Grubbs, 45 North Main St., Walton, KY 41094. The funeral service will follow at 1pm also at Chambers and Grubbs in Walton, Kentucky. Burial at Independence Cemetery.
