Obituary For Harold Daniel McNeese

McNeese, Harold Daniel "Dan", 88 of Edgewood, Ky. Passed Away February 19, 2026 at his home with family by his side.

Dan grew up on Latonia Ave in Latonia, Ky. He loved to make friends and ride his bike, all over Latonia. He would climb the fence to play in the cemetery with his friends.

God must have had a reason for keeping Dan here, because he almost drowned in the Banklick creek. He would have, if it hadn’t been for an older boy who jumped in and pulled Dan out.

Dan was in the Navy from 1956-1958. He was stationed in Norfolk, Va. Dan loved to work on cars. He never turned anyone away. If they needed help, he would help them. He was the Youth Director at Garrard St. Church of Christ, for 7 years. He loved working with the teenagers there. He was 22 years old when he got baptized in 1959 at the old Walnut Hills Church of Christ.

God used Dan in many capacities and now he is gone home to rest from his labors. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He worked for Cincinnati Bell for 33 years. He retired as a supervisor from the Florence location. He remained good friends with some of the retired managers, where they continued to meet for breakfast and lunch.

He was a great husband, dad, papaw and great grandpa. A great friend to many.

He never knew a stranger. Everywhere he went, he made a friend.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Summit Church of Christ, 6015 Alexandria Pike, Cold Springs, Ky 41076. From 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 pm.

Burial will be at Floral Hills Memorial Garden, Taylor Mill, Ky 41015.
