Obituary For Heidi Marie Cheeks

Heidi Marie Cheeks, age 58, of Burlington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2026.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, on May 23, 1968, Heidi was the beloved daughter of David L. Bechard and Shirley Brown Bechard. She dedicated many years to working in ministry and outreach, often going on missions trips and always looking for ways to help others in any way that she could to help minister the word of Jesus. She spent time in her career working as an office manager in the construction industry, where she was respected for her dedication, organization, and caring nature. Heidi attended Heritage Fellowship Church in Florence, KY and actively attended Aglow Cincinnati Lighthouse.

Heidi found her greatest happiness in the simple joys of life. She had a deep appreciation for God's creation and loved spending time outdoors, whether hiking a favorite trail or riding her bike. She had a beautiful love for music and could often be found singing or playing the piano, sharing her joyful spirit with those around her. Above all else, Heidi treasured her family. Time spent with her children and grandchildren brought her the greatest joy, and the memories they created together will forever remain in their hearts.

Those left to cherish Heidi's memory include her children, Cassie Turner (Jonathan), Zac Lamore, Cody Sterling (Keiko), Christian Lamore (Sarah), and Ethan Lamore; her beloved grandchildren, Chloe, Elisha, Micah, and Aliyah; her siblings, David Bechard, Kim Digiulio (Jimmy), Brenda Crutchfield, Robin Bechard, and Ed Hillyer (Nikki); along with many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness and love.

Heidi's gentle heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed, but the example she set through her compassion, faith, and joy for life will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.

A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 U.S. 42, Florence, Kentucky 41042, with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Back to the Lord Children's Ministry Uganda.
