Obituary For Jackie Hyden

Jackie Hyden (nee Riley), a vibrant and colorful spirit who touched the lives of many, passed away on May 17, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born on June 16, 1954, in Oneida, Kentucky, Jackie lived a life marked by kindness, faith, and an unyielding strength of character. She was known for lighting up any room she entered, her lively presence making a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Jackie was a devoted member of Kento-Boo Baptist Church, where her faith was a cornerstone of her life. She embraced her beliefs with sincerity and conviction, never afraid to speak her mind. Those who knew her appreciated her straightforwardness—when Jackie said something, she meant it. Beneath her sassy and fearless exterior, she brought warmth and love to her family and community.

Her family was Jackie's greatest pride and joy. Married to her husband, Roy Hyden, for 53 years, their partnership was a foundation of strength and devotion. Jackie was a loving mother to her son, Brandon Hyden, and a cherished grandmother to Cole, Annabelle, and Aubree Hyden. She also shared a close bond with her siblings: James K. (Debbie) Riley, Tracey (Obie) Jones, and Marilyn Kay (Jason) Branham. Jackie’s extended family included numerous nieces and nephews, sister, aunt Fay Cook and uncle Gordon Allen, as well as many dear friends who were like family to her.

Jackie took great pleasure in her hobbies and interests, particularly her love of the beach. Her yearly family trips to Ft. Myers were moments of joy and togetherness that she treasured deeply. She was also known for never turning down crab legs, embracing simple pleasures with enthusiasm.

Jackie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Alma Elam (nee Allen) and McClellman “Clellie” Riley, whose memory she carried in her heart throughout her life.

A visitation to honor Jackie’s life will be held on May 28, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a service at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northern Kentucky, located at 4350 Dixie Hwy, Erlanger, KY 41018. A graveside service will take place following at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 3227 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, KY 41018.
