Obituary For James David Hornsby, III
James David Hornsby III, 58, of Covington, KY passed away on May 20, 2026. He was born on September 3, 1967, to his parents James David Hornsby II and Nellie War Vienna Blevins.
He was known for his hard and dedicated work. He loved fishing in his free time, and enjoyed his time with his family, especially his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son Joseph Hornsby; and sisters Penny Wilson, Ann Marie Bennett and Nancy Brossart.
He is survived by his sons Jacob (Krystal) Hornsby and Colt Hornsby; daughter Shawntelle Dawson; sisters Kathern (Abe) Spicer and Elizabeth (Kevin) Reekers and 15 grandchildren and one on the way.
A visitation will be held at Cooper Funeral Home in Alexandria, KY on Thursday May 28, 2026, from 10:00am -12:00pm. The service will begin at 12 noon and the burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
