Obituary For James Edward Forte

James “Jim” Forte, 83, of Cold Spring, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ft. Thomas.

A graduate of Newport Catholic High School, Jim built a long and successful career as a computer specialist with GE. Outside of work, he found great joy in creating-whether through woodworking, gardening, or his intricate diamond dot art. His love of beauty extended to collecting artwork and tending to his garden, where his flowers were always in full bloom.

In his younger years, Jim was an avid fisherman, golfer, and camper who loved the outdoors and the simple pleasures of life. He will be remembered for his creativity, gentle spirit, and the quiet care he brought to everything he did. Above all, Jim will be remembered for the deep love and devotion he showed to his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dominic Forte, mother, Olive (nee: Waits) Forte, brothers, Robert Forte and Dominic Forte. Left to cherish Jim's memory are his wife, Ruth (nee: Beiting) Forte, daughters, Beth Forte, Colleen (John) Vires, Jennifer Forte, Ann Forte, sister, Gayle Groeschen, 7 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 10:00am to 11:00am with Memorial Mass to follow at St. Philip Church,

1402 Mary Ingles Highway, Melbourne, KY 41059.
