James “Jim” Edward Meyer, 73, of Melbourne, Kentucky, passed away on February 13, 2026. He was born on May 28, 1952, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Sauerbach) Meyer. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Brenda Mardis and Libby Kinney.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Carolyn (Norwich) Meyer; his daughter, Amanda “Mandy” Meyer; his son, James “Jim” Meyer (Rob Dunn); his sisters, Joann (Jim) Miskanin, Linda (Art) Guy, and Deborah “Debbie” (Darwin) Davis; his sister-in-law, Linda (Bob) Hunter; and his brothers-in-law, Ronnie Norwich and Allen Norwich.

Jim was a faithful member of the Church of Christ of Alexandria. He passed away after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease that spanned more than two decades.

He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, and a friend to all. His love for his family, friends, animals, and his favorite teams—the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals—was known by everyone who knew him.

There will be a Celebration of Life in May of 2026.
