Obituary For James Jay Mooney
James Jay Mooney, 76, passed away on September 10, 2026.
He was the son of James Gilbert Mooney and Betty Ruth Weber Mooney, who preceded him in death. Jim was also preceded in death by his infant son, Richard “Ricky” Mooney and four brothers Aaron, Gilbert, Gary, and Douglas “Doug” Mooney.
Jim is survived by his partner, Pamela Bonar Muirheid. He leaves two stepchildren, Donnie (Shannon) Muirheid of Walton, Kentucky, and Susan (Matt) Grubbs of Cincinnati, Ohio, and two step-grandchildren, Luke Muirheid and Theo Grubbs. In addition, Jim leaves one niece, Kim Mooney of Tennessee.
Pending graveside services will be held at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Cleves, Ohio.
Don Catchen Family Funeral Home in Elsmere, KY is assisting the family.
