Obituary For James Nathan Stone

James “Jimmy” Nathan Stone III, 61, of Hebron, KY, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Belmont Terrace Nursing Home in Florence, KY. The son of Mary Ann {Collins} and James "Jim" Nathan Stone, Jimmy was born in Covington, KY on July 26, 1964. Born and raised in Northern Kentucky, Jimmy graduated from Conner High School in 1982, and he went on to attend the University of Kentucky for two years. A lifelong University of Kentucky fan, Jimmy often said he “bled blue,” and those who knew him can attest that his passion for his beloved UK Wildcats was unmatched.

Jimmy spent much of his career working in the restaurant industry in Florence, where he was known for his hard work. In later years, Jimmy faced short-term memory challenges and ultimately cancer, but he met every struggle with remarkable strength and perseverance.

Jimmy’s legacy will continue on through his father, Jim Stone; his siblings, Kim Stone and Timothy Allen (Shelly) Stone; his nieces and nephews, Stanley (Cassey), Dale, and Tami (Zac); his great nieces and nephews, Kayson, Amelia, Basil, and Zayne; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members who will forever cherish his memory.

Preceding Jimmy in death is his mother, Mary Ann Stone; his son, James “Jayme” Nathan Stone IV; his maternal grandparents, Gladys Miller and Roger Collins; and his paternal grandparents, Stanley Allen and Mary Margaret Allen.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 2 PM at the First Baptist Church of Walton, 47 S Main St, Walton, KY 41094. Jimmy will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Walton at the above address or by clicking here.
