Obituary For James R. Perry
James “Jim” R. Perry, 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. He was born in Covington, Kentucky on August 28, 1945, to the late Alfred and Lucille Cullum Perry.
Jim found joy in life’s simple pleasures—time spent on his farm, hunting with friends, and sharing a good laugh. His quick wit made him the life of the party, bringing smiles and laughter to those around him. In his younger years, he proudly served in the United States Army and learned the craft of masonry from his father, a meaningful connection between them.
Jim retired after thirty-four years as a station manager with American Airlines, but his greatest joy was time spent with his family. Those moments together were dear to him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Alfred and Lucille Perry; his beloved wife, Patricia Ann Perry; his daughter, Martha Ann Perry and several of his siblings.
Jim leaves behind his son, Ronald J. (Teresa) Perry of Eagle Pass, TX; his grandchildren, Alyssa (Josh) Nicholson, Lexi Nicholson, Michelle Fogt, Eileen Perry, Justin Perry, Sydney Perry; siblings, Barbara Durso, Karen Perry, Robert “Bob” Perry; great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Linnemann Funeral Home in Erlanger, KY. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Jim will be laid to rest next to his wife, Patricia at Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Jim’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758516 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
