James Robert West, Jr. (Rob) of Burlington, Kentucky passed away peacefully in Hospice Care July 31, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. His devoted wife of 56 years and his two daughters were by his side, bringing him comfort in his final moments.

Rob dedicated many years of his career as a Facility Manager, first with Square D and later with Schneider Electric, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Rob was also a member of the Boone United Masonic Lodge #264.

Outside of work, he found great joy on the golf course, fishing, and at the pool table. An avid golfer and accomplished pool player, he treasured the friendships and memories made through the games he loved.

Above all, Rob’s greatest pride was his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. James Robert West, his mother Joanna and his brother John.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Verna (Anderson); his daughters, Brandy (Kyle) and Kathryn (John); and his cherished grandchildren, Henry, Harper, Mary-Kate and Conrad. He leaves behind a family who will forever remember his love, strength, and the many moments they shared together.

Rob will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 US 42, Florence, KY 41042 with visitation beginning at 11 AM. The Masonic Service will begin at 12:40 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice Inpatient Unit, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017.
