James William Schneider, 66 of Newport KY formerly of Bellevue, KY passed away on June 10th, 2023. He was the son of James and Shirley Schneider. James had worked at WJ Baker. He was an avid softball player and had umpired games. He enjoyed playing with his boys. James coached Bellevue Knothole Baseball. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, cheering on the Cincinnati Bengals, UK Basketball and the Cincinnati Reds. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Meghann Turner, brother Jeff Schneider, grandson Benjamin, niece Kelsey Schneider and nephew, Austin Schneider. James is survived by his wife of 27 years, Stephanie Schneider. Daughter, Jill Schneider. Sons, Ben Schneider and Joseph (Molly) Merrill. Sister, Jerri Schneider. Sister in law, Darlene Schneider. Brother in laws, Richard Turner and Justin Hensley. Nephews, Corey and Keegan Schneider. Along with 11 Grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Cooper Funeral Home from 5pm-8pm. Service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Cooper Funeral Home at 11am with the Reverend Brian Turner officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Peach Grove Cemetery. Cooper Funeral Home is serving the family.
