Obituary For Janet Lee Campbell
Janet Lee Campbell, age 76, of Petersburg, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 7, 2026. Janet was born in Petersburg, Kentucky, on May 26, 1949, to the late Rufus Neace and Lilly Mae McDaniel.
She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Brady Ann Holt and Scotty Neace, brothers-in-law Johnny Schulze and Danny Holt, and sister-in-law Bonnie Neace.
Janet was a devoted homemaker and a faithful member of Petersburg Baptist Church. She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures and loved flowers, cooking, gardening, and crafting. Janet especially cherished decorating for the holidays, with Halloween being her favorite season to celebrate. Her warm spirit, creativity, and love for family made every gathering special and every home she touched feel welcoming.
Left to carry on Janet’s legacy of love are her beloved daughters, Cathie Estes (Rick) and Lilly Jones (John); her sister, Cleta “Jody” Schulze (Johnny); and her brother, Joe Neace (Angie). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Ace II (Amanda), Mitchell, Courtney (Tyler), and Macee (Luke), and an adoring great-grandmother to Aydyn, Mason, Chevy, Ace III, Ian, Mitchell Jr., and Luella, along with a soon-to-be-born baby girl. Janet also leaves behind her dear best friends, Karin and Sylvia; her former partner and friend, Mike Campbell; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews and great great nieces and great great nephews who will all miss her deeply.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Petersburg Baptist Church, 6537 Market Street, Petersburg, Kentucky 41080, with the Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Petersburg Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Petersburg Baptist Church. PER THE REQUEST OF THE FAMILY, PLEASE NO FLOWERS.
