Janet Lois Hammerle, age 86 of Florence, KY, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025. Born in Cincinnati, OH to Jake (Earl) Kuntz and Della Kuntz, Janet was known for her boundless kindness, love of flowers, passion for camping, and joy in shopping trips with loved ones. She was a kind woman and she loved to go out to eat. She devoted her life to her family and brought light to all who knew her.
Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Hammerle, who passed away in 2015, and her dear daughter-in-law, Okcha Hammerle, who passed away in 2025. She is survived by her son, Robert Hammerle; daughters, Tammy Snowden and Michelle VonHagel (Philip); grandchildren, Justin Snowden, Brandon Snowden (Malynda), and Young Na (Min); and great-grandchildren, Haven Snowden, Bailey Snowden, Song Ho, and Jason Na. Janet is also survived by her sister, Joyce Kuntz, and her brother, Jerry Kuntz (Joy).
A Visitation will be from 9 AM – 11 AM with a Catholic Blessing to follow at 11 AM on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 US 42, Florence, KY 41042. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Mausoleum, Erlanger, KY. Memorial contributions in Janet’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
