Obituary For Janie L. Ridenour
Janie L. Ridenour, age 78, of Independence, Kentucky, passed away on October 27, 2026. She was born on October 23, 1948, in Jellico, Tennessee, to Claude Mink and Flora Anderson Mink.
Janie was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Patsy Moon.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Ridenour; daughter, Donna Yeargin (Bobby); son, Jonathan Ridenour (Lauren Morrison); grandchildren, Faith Andrea Yeargin, Elise Yeargin, Charlotte Ridenour, and Margot Ridenour; and brother, Edd Minks (Bertia).
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 2, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elsmere Baptist Church, 250 Garvey Avenue, Elsmere, KY 41018, or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 720 East Pete Rose Way, Suite 330, Cincinnati, OH 45202.
