Obituary For Javier Johanan Lemus

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Javier Johanan Lemus, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, who left this world on April 20, 2026, in Erlanger, Kentucky, due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Born on August 8, 2000, in Florence, Kentucky, Javier lived a bright and meaningful life that touched many hearts with his warmth and kindness.

Javier’s journey was marked by dedication and joy. A proud graduate of Grant County High School, he actively participated in the basketball team, exemplifying both his commitment and team spirit from a young age. He achieved one of his proudest accomplishments by graduating from the American College of Barbering, becoming a licensed barber in Kentucky—a dream he fulfilled with passion. Javier worked as a barber at Upper Kutz Barber Shop in Covington, KY, where his outgoing and friendly nature, along with his ever-present happy demeanor, made him an integral part of the community. He had an extraordinary ability to lighten up any room he entered, enriching the lives of those around him with love and laughter.

Family was at the core of Javier’s life. He cherished spending time with those he loved and nurtured close bonds with his wife, Kali Haney, and their son, Mateo Jay Lemus. He was also deeply connected to his parents, Pedro Diaz and Leticia Lemus, and his brother, Melvin Diaz Lemus, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. To all who knew him, Javier was more than just family; he was a source of joy and unwavering love.

A visitation and funeral service to honor Javier’s memory will be held on April 24, 2026, at Centro Cristiano Bethel, located at 3413 Hillcrest Drive, Erlanger, Kentucky. The visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. On the following day, April 25, a burial service will be conducted at Burlington Cemetery, 2512 Burlington Pike, Burlington, Kentucky, at 10:00 a.m.
