Obituary For Jeff Edward Tucker

Jeff Edward “Eddie” Tucker, 81, of Grant’s Lick, passed peacefully May 30th, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospital – Florence.

Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Sammy Lee Tucker of Kenton County, several Brothers and Sisters, Stepdaughters Tina Garcia and Stella Woods, along with his Wife of 49 years, Joyce Ann (Penick) Tucker, who passed April 2nd, 2014.

Eddie is survived by his Son, David E. Tucker (Gail), of Harrison County, Siblings George Tucker (Marilyn), Edna Cain, Joe Myers (Sylvia), Eugene Hughes (Debbie), Mary Martin (Ray), Clarence “Al” Collins and Tim Dinser (Lisa). Also, Son-in-Law Edward Woods, Stepson Robert Blaine and a long list of Nieces and Nephews.

He is survived by almost 20 Grandchildren, along with several Great-Grandchildren, including the newest and youngest, Carlie Lillian Adams (Jennifer & DeForest).

Eddie was a Tree Trimmer by trade, as well as a mechanic and general tradesman. He enjoyed Classic Cars, Decades of Boating & Fishing on Lake Erie and Cave Run Lake, Travel and Family. He was an Avid Deer Hunter and was known for his willingness to help anyone who needed his assistance.

If they said it couldn’t be built, he built it. If they said it couldn’t be caught, he caught it. If they said it wasn’t possible, he would prove them wrong.

He did so each day for the last 21 years, while working to overcome the aftermath of a debilitating stroke. He lived his way, on his terms, until he was ready to leave this world.

A practicing Catholic and member of St. Henry Church, he will be remembered as a Fighter, a Loving Husband, a Proud Father, a “Spoiler” of Grandchildren and a man who was Loved and Celebrated by many.

The Family would like to Thank the Staff of Grant Manor Nursing Home for their years of Care and Dedication to him and his ability to enjoy life.

Also, a monumental Thank You to the Staff of St. Elizabeth Hospital Florence for their attentiveness and compassion while providing excellent care these past weeks.

Visitation will be Friday June 7th at Linnemann Family Funeral Home – 30 Commonwealth Avenue, Erlanger, Kentucky from 10am until Noon.

Services will Immediately Follow with Burial next to his Loving Wife and many Family Members at Burlington Cemetery, Burlington, Kentucky.
